We all have guests who have children that play sports and love a braid to keep their hair out of their face. We've got a cool trick to hide the elastic used to secure the braid without adding or placing any pins into the hair... using only two hairpins to thread the hair!

The braid featured in this video is called the JLo Braid. Click here to watch the full tutorial on how to create this simple and unique fishtail braid.

Pin-Pull-Through-1 Working with two U-shaped hairpins, take one of the hairpins and push the top of the hairpin right under the elastic. Place the pin on a diagonal and push it through.

Pin-Pull-Through-2 Once you have the first hairpin in place, take an excess amount of hair from the back side of your ponytail and wrap it tightly around the elastic, crossing over the hairpin. Holding the hair tight with your thumb, leave a small amount of hair sticking out.

Pin-Pull-Through-4 Using a thread and needle concept, we're going to thread the hair into the hairpin. Once you thread the hair in, take the pin and slide it into the other hairpin, using it as a mechanism to thread the hair.

Pin-Pull-Through-7 Once the hair is threaded through, hold onto the excess hair sticking out and push the hairpin down and out the opposite side.

Pin-Pull-Through-8 Now, pull that hairpin all the way down and out the bottom. This will secure that excess hair and simply hide the elastic.
